What training did they receive before becoming a practitioner? What is their specialty? Which hospital or professional organization are they associated with? Are they certified by a professional medical board?

You also want to find out their treatment philosophy and whether, or not, it aligns with your personal views.For example, there is little point in working with holistic health practitioners who advocate Christian faith healing if you’re an atheist. Make sure you ask pertinent questions before making a choice. This will increase your chances of hiring a practitioner that will be useful to you.

After you meet the holistic health practitioner, you need to consider their feelings. There is little point in working with someone who you don’t feel comfortable with. Having rapport with a practitioner is important since you need to work together as a team. You’ll be working together in making major changes to your lifestyle or to just find treatments that will help heal some common ailments.
